Banana Choco Wonder

The colder it gets, the more healthy ‘sugars’ I feel I need in the morning for the rest of my day. This smoothie gets me revved up for a workout and even helps keep me warm.  Its chock full of all the nutrients, fiber,  protein, fat, and proper carbs, so I don’t have to worry about missing anything or taking vitamin pills. It includes the latest  buzzed about supplement, Maca, which tastes so good when combined with chocolate.   And of course…it’s SUPER YUMMY!  Try it out and let me know what you think.  Did you make any modifications (always welcome;), did you love it??

Banana Choco Wonder

1 -2 Banana (fresh or frozen if you want a more ‘ice-creamy’ texture)

2 Tbsp Hempseed Protein Powder

2 Tbsp Golden Flaxseed (ground or if you have a Vitamix, that will grind as you blend)

2 Tbsp of raw cacao beans, or organic raw cacao powder

1 Tbsp of Maca Powder

1 Tsp to 1 Tbsp Organic Coconut Oil

1-2 cups pure water with 1 tsp matcha powder stirred in (the amount of water depends on how thick you want your shake…I use less as I like a thicker texture.

Throw everything in your blender and blend away!  If you don’t have a Vitamix, you may need to add a bit more water to get things moving.
