Dr. Oz Green Smoothie

A great boost for any hot day, for my tropical friends and green juice lovers!!

Healing Powers – Juicing is one of the best ways to heal and detoxify the body; it’s also one of the quickest.
Weight Loss – Juice Fasting, or more positively referred to as Juice Feasting, is more popular today than ever. Most who begin, gladly report a 7-9 pound per week weight release.
Vitamins Galore! – Your body can digest fresh juice in about 15 minutes, and assimilates most of the nutrients from it.
Green Goodies – Loads of Chlorophyll, which is the building block of our bodies.
Minerals – When you make a fresh juice, it has naturally occurring trace minerals and enzymes in it that you won’t see in any bottled juice at the store.

Dr. Oz Green Smoothie

Recipe type: Green Juice
Serves: 4 cups
Ingredients

  • 12 oz Filtered Water
  • 1 cup Spinach
  • ½ cup Cucumber
  • 2 Celery Stalks
  • 1 small bunch Parsley
  • 2 Apples (cored)
  • ½ inch Ginger
  • Juice 1 Lime
  • 1½ cups Ice

Instructions
Place all ingredients in the jar in order listed
Blendtec: Press the Soup Button (it will not get hot due to the ice)
Vitamix: Select VARIABLE, speed #1. Turn on machine and quickly increase speed to #10; then to HIGH. Run for 1½ minutes or until smooth.
Notes
Half the recipe for 2 servings or if using Blendtec’s FOURSIDE jar.
