Beat the heat Juice Mixes

After searching a while for a good list of juice recipes and informational sites, and I found some keepers that are tasty and so good, so I thought I would share them with you, as the results for me are amazing! Things to consider when making fruit juices; sugars, acidity and weight ( and I don’t mean yours). Some natural fruit juices are the same caloric base or amount as a meal, meaning juice can be your meal. Plus there are a few that helps and cleanse the system.

A personal favorite when the weather becomes too much to bare. Portable, delicious and refreshingly healthy!

Fruit Detox

Fruit is high in fiber and packed with essential vitamins and minerals, it is a wonderful natural detox for the body. This recipe incorporates fruit, along with flax oil and lecithin, to provide essential fatty acids while you detox.

In your blender, add:
8 oz. of orange juice
4 oz. of pure water
½ cup banana strawberries or yogurt
½-inch slice of ginger
1 small garlic clove
1 tablespoon flax oil
1 tablespoon lecithin granules
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice if desired
1 tablespoon of protein powder or spirulina powder

and enjoy!

Vegetable Boosting Juice

Vegetable juice is perishable and should be consumed shortly after juicing.

In your blender, add:
4 carrots
2 celery sticks
1/4 cup chopped parsley
3 leaves of cabbage
1/4 cup of spinach

Spinach, cabbage and carrots provide the body with an excellent source of Vitamin A. If you do not like any of the vegetables mentioned in this recipe, you can substitute others of your preference while still receiving optimal health benefits.

Cholesterol Buster

Looking to kill those Cholesterol problems, this is a great way to juice it up.

This one if for the juicer, blend able also, but make sure you wash the outside well, and you will need a strainer.

2 Apples
4 Celery sticks
1/2 Cucumber

Cuc-Apple Zinger – One of my favorites for a quick wake me up and great flavor.

2 1/2 Apples
1/2 Cucumber
1? of Ginger

Using electric juice extractor, press all ingredients in the juicer. Whisk to combine.

Green Energizer Bunny – This one will keep you on your toes for hours!

2 Apples
1/2 Cucumber
1/2 Lemon (peeled)
1/2 Cup of kale
1/2 Cup of spinach
1/4 Bunch of celery
1/4 Bulb of fennel
1? of Ginger
1/4 Head of romaine lettuce

Using electric juice extractor, press all ingredients in the juicer. Whisk to combine.

The Red Racer – This one will be a great treat for those sweet tooth’s out there like me. Consumption of these berries will reduce your cravings for the unhealthy sweets. Or so that is what I find with me.

1 Cup raspberries
1 Cup Strawberries
2 Oranges
2 Apples

Using electric juice extractor, press all ingredients in the juicer. Whisk to combine.

Beet, Apple, and Mint Juice

Ingredients
1 small beet, chopped
5 carrots, chopped
1 apple, cored and chopped
1/4 cup fresh mint sprigs

Press beet, carrots, apple, and mint sprigs through a juice extractor.
Stir and serve immediately.

Super Juice

½ lime, peeled
Ice cubes
1 capsule of acidophilus bacteria powder
1 level tsp spirulina
1oz fresh wheatgrass or wheatgrass powder
½ ripe avocado
½ medium cucumber
½ pineapple
2 apples, any type except Granny Smiths as they don’t juice well

Juice the apples, pineapple, cucumber and lime. Put the avocado flesh into a blender with the ice, wheatgrass, spirulina and the bacteria powder. Blend everything until smooth, pour and enjoy.
