McChai Tea Anyone?

Just came across this interesting tidbit of info.

As someone who grew up in a town that never had a McDonald’s, it seemed so ‘gourmet’ when going to the big city!  I never really was into the whole fast food thing, although I must say, at one point in University I was addicted to their french fries…which, to my horror, I later found out , were fried in..ahem..beef tallow.

But I can proudly say, I haven’t been a victim of the fastfood frenzy and I think I have my parents to thank for that.

Let’s face it, McDonald’s will never go away, as people find its convenience and over-salt & fat laden menu, too good to pass up.  Let’s just say I was not surprised to read this article of the push to profit from one of the great, no longer untapped, giant economies.  Business is business, right???

As a huge fan of Indian food, I wonder if I would take my first steps into McDo’s to tast a McAloo Tikka potato burger…I almost wish it was offered over on this end!

So, check out the article.  What do you think??  Would you try this out? Is the fast food giant taking a step in the right direction??  McSamosa, next?? Will obesity rates in India be on the rise???

A great article from the BBC – target=”_blank”>Read Article

That’s funny, I don’t know if McSamoas will cause folks in India to fatten up too fast!
