I often get asked what certain ‘super foods’ are that I recommend to my clients. As soon as they see and feel a physical change from their workouts, they quite often want to go the distance and enhance their results by not only adapting an improved diet, but tweaking it even further with natural supplements. And for me that includes super foods.
My favorite daily musts are spirulina, apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, hemp seeds, kombucha, maca, and turmeric. Through hell or high water, I manage to get those in daily! And I also use cocoa, cayenne, cinnamon, nutritional yeast, camu camu, and chia seeds on a regular basis. I really don’t believe in swallowing pills for my supplements, I prefer to have the real substance without any additives/fillers. And who knows what the potency is of these pills. At least the super foods can be added to smoothies, soups, salads, etc., while quickly being absorbed and utilized by the body.
The link below is a great guide which gives you the lowdown on all things good!
If you haven’t tried any of these yet, what are you waiting for? Start by having a glass of water with a tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar (the unpasteurized version) to your morning routine. Then maybe sneak a tbsp of Spirulina into that post workout smoothie.
Stronger immune system, better digestion, clearer skin, improved adrenal and hormone health, increased energy and endurance….all good things! I have noticed more and more improvements in my health and stamina (not to mention skin and hair) since I have been consistent in making these an important part of my diet.
So read up and choose a superfood to try out this week! Let me know what you choose, and how you have added it into your routine.
